Sliver" is a song by American rock band Nirvana, written by vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain. It was originally released as a non-album single in 1990 by the band's then record label, Sub Pop. The same recording was re-released by DGC on the compilation album Incesticide in December 1992, and a music video for the song was released to promote the album.

The band’s musical legacy was illuminated further in November 2004 by the release of the 3-CD + DVD box set With The Lights Out, the definitive collection of Nirvana rarities and outtakes. In an effort to offer fans audio highlights from With The Lights Out, the 1-CD release of Sliver: The Best of the Box was compiled taking 18 selections from the box and adding 3 previously unreleased tracks.

My version is clear blue with a couple of black spots. I marked this as first edition because it came in a first edition sleeve, though the single club form was detached by the time I came to own it. I attached a photo which (hopefully) shows the edge from which the singles form was detached.
