Jude Anthony Cole (born June 18, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter, manager, and record producer. Jude Cole is married to Lori Pfeiffer (born 1965), the younger sister of Michelle Pfeiffer. However, Cole remained in the US when the band returned to Britain to pursue his career as a solo artist.
Start the Car is the third solo album from the singer/songwriter Jude Cole. Released in 1992, five years after his self-titled debut solo album. After A View from Third Street, Jude Cole shifted to a more heartland rock sound. Nowhere is that more evident than the disc's title song first track, a combination of mp that rocks more than his previous two albums.

Toughening up his sound even more, Jude Cole seemed to find a home on the college radio circuit and even some alternative rock stations, and this fine disc shows great growth. Start the Car, whose title track was a minor hit, and other cuts such as "Just Another Night" and "First Your Money (Then Your Clothes)," show Cole still struggling to get out of Bryan Adams' shadow, but here he has made great strides in doing so. It is another solid effort.
