Following the release of several singles in their homeland of Australia, the Melbourne-based quartet Ripe took several years before finally releasing 1993's The Plastic Hassle. It's an impressive debut of fiercely melodic noise rock that shows an influence of acts like Velvet Underground and Sonic Youth

Depuis les choses spin à vive allure pour le groupe de Montréal. Un premier vidéoclip est lancé pour la pièce Rockstar qui a connu un franc succès sur les radios rock de la province, une série de concert en 1ère partie d’Exterio dont une présence à Coup de Cœur Francophone. En 2011 leur vidéoclip pour la pièce Spin a littéralement fait un malheur sur internet en plus de connaître un succès fou sur les ondes de Musique Plus
