I like percussion albums and Broadway compilations. This record combines the two. Slow computer issues have made this week’s posts short subjects. I seem to believe that I have posted a Terry Snyder record in the past. That saves me some time on the exposition side. This record was released in 1967 on the Ultra Audio subsidiary label of United Artists. Kind of a Command style release for audiophiles. It features such studio luminaries such as Tony Mottola (guitar), Stan Webb (sax) and Ubie Green (trombone), all of which have been somewhere on this blog. This album is pretty good.

The packaging includes the first use of the gatefold cover which, upon being unfolded, lists information about each selection. The liner notes state that the album may be used to test audio equipment, due to the stereo placement of sounds independently in either the left or right channel (something common today, but extremely innovative in 1959).
