More Best of Leonard Cohen is a collection of Leonard Cohen songs released in 1997. It is a sequel to the 1975 album The Best of Leonard Cohen and was released during a period of inactivity for the singer, who had retreated to the Mt. Baldy Zen Center near Los Angeles in 1994. Tracks are drawn from albums I'm Your Man (1988) and The Future (1992), as well as the live album Cohen Live (1994).
This second compilation covers Leonard Cohen's career from 1984 to 1995 (skipping over both Death of a Ladies' Man, which is understandable, and Recent Songs, which is more questionable). Cohen did not have any hits during this period, though a few songs, notably "Everybody Knows" and "Tower of Song," became well enough known to be essential choices. Otherwise, Cohen's craftsmanship makes a choice from among his work difficult

Leonard Cohen is ranked number 104 in the overall artist rankings with a total rank score of 34,229. Members who like this artist also like: The Velvet Underground, David Bowie and Bob Dylan His seventies records are a little more patchy, but, New skin for the old ceremony, is an underrated gem, while the Phil Spector collobaration, Death of a ladies man, is hit and miss. By the eighties, Cohen started to employ more contemporary sounds and while some of it sounds musically dated the material was as strong as ever with both, Various positions, and, I'm your man, two of his best albums. The early noughties brought the superb, Ten new songs, and the disappointing, Dear Heather.
