Live at The Isle of Wight Festival 1970 is a live album by the American rock band the Doors, released on February 23, 2018 on Rhino Records. The concert was recorded at the Isle of Wight Festival in England on August 30, 1970 and this was released by Eagle Rock Entertainment. It was the group's final appearance as a foursome outside of the US and also the last full filming of a Doors' concert.

Inveterate naysayers will inevitably disparage continuing archive releases by The Doors and, to some degree, it's a point well taken: is there any band with a comparable catalog and a greater preponderance of reissues? Yet negativism ignores a crucial point in the issue of titles such as the d Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970: this latest title, like its predecessors may be that very one that plants the seed of curiosity (or nurtures a previous one) in a musiclover that leads to greater appreciation of this influential group. Or his fanciful, erratic attitude during Live At The Bowl (Eagle Vision, 2012) for that matter. Had circumstances not led Morrison to Paris after the completion of the final album by the original four-man lineup, LA Woman (Elektra, 1971), this collective restraint and concentration might well have foreshadowed the future of the Doors live.

An array of live Doors recordings and video has made its way to fans over the years, but their ever-elusive Isle of Wight performance has been out of reach in its entirety until now. The legendary British festival was held over five days in late August 1970, a year after Woodstock, and with a lineup of music legends ranging from the Who and Jimi Hendrix to Joni Mitchell and jazz great Miles Davis

Considered one of the biggest and most star-studded music festivals to ever take place, The Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 featured Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Miles Davis, and many more performing in front of over . .One never knew what kind of performance The Doors would give as their shows were often unpredictable and captivating. At a Miami concert the previous year, Jim had been arrested mid-performance in an incident where he supposedly exposed himself (although no proof or photographic evidence exists)

The concert was recorded at the Isle of Wight Festival in England on August 30, 1970 and this was released by Eagle Rock Entertainment The concert was remixed by long-time Doors' Bruce Botnick in . Dolby Digital sound from the original multi-track audio tapes  . The Isle of Wight Festival had some 600,000 attendees and the Doors hit the stage at two o'clock in the morning on August 30, 1970. Much of the recording sees the group bathed in a single red spotlight.
