2 is the debut full-length studio album by Canadian musician Mac DeMarco. It was recorded in June and released in October 2012 on the Captured Tracks label. DeMarco moved from Vancouver to Montreal in 2011. There, he recorded an EP under his own name, Rock and Roll Nightclub. Featuring slowed-down vocals and elements of glam rock, this recording garnered enough attention that his label, Captured Tracks, agreed to finance a full-length album

Marco Bailey put again his dark cape on and he returns to MBR with his new mind-blowing EP ''Dark Soul''. 2 dance-floor gems coming straight from hell and getting from every clubber the darkest side of his soul. Darkest and therefore most free. Rome's duo Korova takes care of the remix, taking the original to another even darker universe.

One of Marco Bailey's finest, craziest and most devastating releases - ever! The A side track, maybe my favorite track by the producer, starts out kind of minimal, with a stomping 4x4 kick and some random static radio noise atop. During a break at around the two minute mark, this robotoic voice goes "this is an electronic confusion!", followed by an acoustic apocalypse. I mean, damn. For the next two and a half minutes you have one of the most intense, climax driven segments in all electronic music. Heavy and loud electrocuted sequences intermingle with driving techno and various FX. Hard techno with a rusty, yet vintage electro tip. Things start to break down towards the initial pattern around the 04:30 point, only to end in the same minimal fashion they started in. Easy to mix in, great to drop, even greater to dance to. First heard it on Ben Long's "The long winter mix", and have never looked back since. A truly accomplished, multilayered and effective club cut. On the flip side we have a stupendous electro cut, with a morphing and rising melody, with plenty clanging noises in the background. The first break down comes before the two minute mark, as percussion gets retracted, and a voice out of nowhere goes "don't mess the world". The crowd is on their finger tips as another lead is introduced and by the time everything is thrown back in the loop, all hell breaks loose on the dance floor. Another top number for the crowd to cheer along to, pretty anthemic, with a nice structure, build up, effective use of vocals and melodic passages strong enough to lift you off your feet! The remix is a nice surprise, though a tad misplaced. Mr Barth, an alias used by Cari Lekebusch namely on his deep house/dub techno influenced releases on the Svek imprint, delivers a tune similar to the music he delivers on the "Stealing music" (I think that is what it's called) album. Deep melodies and dubby beats, with a repetitive voice going "don't mess the world". In my opinion, the vocal gets weary after a while, but the melody work is really positive and uplifting, so fans of this alias of mr. Lekebusch should definitely take heed. Personally, I think this whole release is all about mr. Bailey and his eruptive techno style before he went down the drain producing 'click clack' minimal. It's a fine piece in its own right, Mr Barth's remix of Don't Mess The World, though completely overshadowed by Marco's high octane, adrenaline loaded contributions, but above all, it often gets forgotten as it's placed right between two remarkable techno tracks.
