Bill Evans wrote in the liner notes for the album: I’m hoping the trio will grow in the direction of simultaneous improvisation rather than just one guy blowing followed by another guy blowing. After one listen, my thoughts are very positive for this release. After all its Bill on Verve so, what am I gonna say that stands out.
