Van Halen emerged again in 2009 with A Different Kind of Truth. The album featured Dave on vocals, and Eddie’s son Wolfgang on bass. Truthfully, it was a decent record, and I loved getting a new Van Halen album, but at the same time it wasn't like the old days. I’m sure they know this. What’s Next for Van Halen? Today, its sales stand at more than 10 million – second only to Van Halen’s huge crossover album 1984.

I love Van Halen, not Van Hagar. And this isn't confirmed but a rumor is going around that Eddie, Alex, Wolfgang (Eddie's Son), and Dave are joining up for a final hooray and might tour in the summer of 2007 could this be the return of the rock gods, and good music as we know it?
