Jace Everett (born May 27, 1972) is a singer from the United States who performs country and rock music. Signed to Epic Records in 2005, he released his debut single "That's the Kind of Love I'm In" in 2005, which peaked at No. 52 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and was the first single from his self-titled debut album. He also co-wrote Josh Turner's Number One single "Your Man". His song "Bad Things" is the theme for the HBO series True Blood and peaked No. 2 in Norway in 2009.

After that, Jace Everett retains its clean, polished sound but the music gets more interesting, as he tears through the rollicking barroom anthem "I Gotta Have It" before easing into Bobby Houck and Radney Foster's bittersweet ballad "Half of My Mistakes," which all leads up to a second half comprised of original material. Some may still wish that Jace Everett had a production as varied and soulful as Jace Everett the writer and musician, but there's no denying that this first album showcases a contemporary country singer and songwriter of considerable potential.
Just Google Jace Everett’s name and you’ll find yourself knee-deep in the ooh’s and ahh’s of daily papers from Boston to Chicago and Seattle that can’t discuss the second season debut of HBO’s rocketing Golden Globe-honored drama TRUE BLOOD without mentioning the brilliant opening title montage, devised around the swampy rockabilly come-on o. I did one mainstream country-rock album in 2005 (Jace Everett, his debut for Sony Nashville), and I was tired of trying to make music for a specific demographic, and started making music for myself. The 2007 acoustic album Old New Borrowed Blues, cut live with just two guitars and an upright bass, was an album of country-blues, soul songs if you will. Unexpectedly, a track from his first album, Bad Things, was chosen for True Blood, creating a new opportunity in the musical mainstream – after Everett had already left the major label.
Jace Everett's self-titled debut album is a musical biography of hell-raising rockers and soul-baring ballads. It includes the current seelf-penned single 'Bad Things'. Jace Everett was born in Evansville, In. but grew up in Texas. He paid his dues playing bass for other artists. To keep the bills paid, he also worked as a ditch digger, framer, photographer, truck washer, mover, waiter, bartender, bus boy, dump truck driver and fork/bobcat operator. Everett cites Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings as his greatest influences and has written songs with Guy Clark, Bob DiPiero and.
