Los Campesinos! recorded their third album Romance Is Boring in Stamford, Connecticut, with John Goodmanson. It was recorded in multiple sessions, with the second half of a North American tour in-between. In May 2009 it was announced on their blog that they had almost finished recording the album and that it was to be mixed in Wales in June. No Blues was released on 29 October 2013 Sick Scenes (2016-present). The band recorded their followup to No Blues throughout 2016

The album was released on 29 October 2013 on Wichita Recordings, Turnstile Music and Heart Swells. It is the band's first album not to be distributed in North America by Arts & Crafts Productions.
Los Campesinos!’s fifth album, No Blues, is their strongest release since the staggering 2008 two-fer Hold On Now, Youngster. We Are Beatiful, We Are Doomed. In a strange way, it also ends up sounding like the happiest LC! record, or at least the most implicitly hopeful. Eight songs into No Blues, Gareth Campesinos! proudly states, Béla Guttmann of love/ curse all of my exes to a life of celibacy. A casual Los Campesinos! fan will only understand the second half of the line, as trying to invoke a supernatural hex on a former lover is a fairly common pastime.

Catchy and meaty, the band's fifth album shows there's still life left in indie. By Daisy Jones Posted: Friday October 18 2013. Formed during the long, exhausting indie disco of the mid-noughties, Los Campesinos! didn’t seem built to last.

When Los Campesinos! burst onto the indie scene in the late 2000s, they were a rambunctious (more or less) e crew who madly ran through their songs like they were chasing rainbow-puking unicorns. were wild, unpredictable, and the best kind of indie pop. As time passed and more records hit the airwaves, the group's sound evened out as they grew and members came and went
No Blues is an intoxicating album. Really, if music could get you hammered this would totally do the trick. Los Campesinos! blow up their sound, and the metric fuckton of vocal harmonies, guitar hooks and auxiliary instrumental flourishes will overwhelm your brain to the point where you can’t help but get lost.
