Century Child is the fourth studio album by the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released in 2002 through Spinefarm Records. It is the first album which features current bassist and male vocalist Marco Hietala. It is also the first Nightwish album to feature an orchestra.

This album, "Century Child", was basically my introduction to Nightwish. It's one that I go back and listen to every once in a while. It's not perfect by any means, but it holds a special place in my heart. This is the last Nightwish album worth bothering with. It's by no means essential, but if you can't get enough of Tarja and pals (an unfortunate side-effect of female fronted bands in a genre with a most male fanbase) you certainly won't be ruining your tastes too much with Century Child. Addendum: I recently picked up a remastered copy of the album with bonus tracks.

Century Child is the fourth album by symphonic metal masters Nightwish released in 2002. It was the first full album I listened to when I was first introduced to the band, and I loved it from the start.
