Long bootlegged, this glorious live album documents an intriguing moment in UK rock history, when the rock mainstream and the outer-limits vanguard were in bed together. Three decades on, it's hard to imagine a contemporary equivalent to the supergroup that Wyatt convened in September 1974: musos like Mike Oldfield and Pink Floyd's Nick Mason rubbed shoulders with jazz players Julie Tippetts and Mongezi Feza, and with avant-proggers such as Henry Cow's Fred Frith, Hatfield and the North's Dave Stewart, and Soft Machine alumnus Hugh.

Recorded in September of 74, Theatre Royal Drury Lane sees Wyatt perform his classic Rock Bottom album in its entirety, material from his days with Soft Machine and Matching Mole, plus an extraordinary version of "Im A Believer. This concert quickly assumed legendary status among Wyatts fans and has been inadequately bootlegged in the past. Hannibal is proud to release it officially, remastered and remixed. Guest musicians include Nick Mason, Mike Oldfield, Dave Stewart, Ivor Cutler and many more. download 320. TURBOBIT.

Theatre Royal Drury Lane 8th September 1974. Theatre Royal Drury Lane. From "Dedicated to You But You Weren't Listening" and "Memories" to "Alfie," "Instant Pussy," "Mind of a Child," and "Little Red Robin Hood Hit the Road," this set is alternately an early tribute recording to Wyatt and a fine get-together of friends from the Canterbury scene. Sonically, the recording is very present, though a bit overloaded in places, but the music more than compensates for this.
