BM is the fifth studio album by Berlin-based musician Barbara Morgenstern. Driving My Car" is sung in German, English and Polish, while it is the first Barbara Morgenstern album to include full English translation of all her lyrics in the sleeve notes. The album also features a collaboration with former Soft Machine drummer Robert Wyatt. One EP, Come To Berlin Mixes, was taken from the album - the song's lyrics are critical of city planning politics in Berlin.

Barbara Morgenstern (born March 19, 1971) is a German electronic music artist, keyboardist and singer. Born in Hagen, Germany, Morgenstern describes herself as self-taught, although she had piano lessons as a child and jazz lessons at the school of music in Hagen. In addition to having played in a band, she decided on a career in music in 1991 after completing her schooling at the Ernst Meister Gymnasium in Hagen-Haspe.

For twenty years, Barbara Morgenstern has been among the most creative players on the global indietronica scene. The keyboardist and singer took piano lessons as a child and studied jazz at the music school of Hagen in western Germany. Morgenstern still sees herself as self-taught, though, having had her formative experiences on stage and with bands. At the same time, records such as BM (2008) and the many-faced collaboration album Doppelstern (2015) prove the systematic thought behind her compositions, which blend art pop, downtempo, electro, and chamber music. Last year she released Unschuld und Verwüstung, expressing her take on the insanity of an overworked, society. The album carries the choir leader's bittersweet signature, reflecting on our dark times and finding new hope in the process.
