Kohlhase an aggressive, though sometimes tongue-in-cheek quality to his playing, but he rips through the chords with finesse and vigor. Trumpeter John Carlson is an effective foil, with a big fat tone that maneuvers vertically with abandon. Matt Wilson, on drums, is another standout, driving the band to near delirium.
