Molly Tuttle (born 1993) is a vocalist, songwriter, banjo player and guitarist, recording artist and teacher in the bluegrass tradition, noted for her flatpicking, clawhammer, and cross-picking guitar prowess. She has cited Laurie Lewis, Kathy Kallick, and Hazel Dickens as role models. In 2017, Tuttle was the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association's Guitar Player of the Year award. She went on to win the award a second time in 2018.

I met John Joe Tuttle in Miltown about ten years ago. He told me that Bobby Casey did indeed get the tune from him, but that he himself had learned it via the Paddy Sweeney 78. Since Sweeney’s setting and name (despite the typo on the label) were the same as that in the Roche Collection, I’d bet Sweeney got it from the book. John L. Tuttle, Jr. is an American politician from Maine. Tuttle served as a Democratic State Senator from Maine's 3rd District, representing part of York County including his residence of Sanford. He was first elected to the Maine House of Representatives in 1978, serving until 1984 when he successfully sought to represent Sanford and the surrounding towns in the State Senate. He served in the State Senate until 1988, when he returned to the House. He served again the House from 2002-2010, when he was unable to run for re-election due to term limits.
