Something Great from ‘68 Tour with the Zombies. Brian to highlight 1968 LP Friends, 1971’s Surf’s Up, while British rockers will perform all of Odessey and Oracle. His former Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin will join the Hall of Fame musician onstage. It’s been quite a year.

Brian Wilson is the debut studio album by Brian Wilson released in July 1988 on Sire Records. It was voted one of the best albums of 1988 by NME, and as part of its acclaim, garnered the nickname "Pet Sounds '88" among some critics. The album has since been reissued on several formats with bonus tracks, and cited by some as a standout in Wilson's solo oeuvre.

Imagination is the third studio album by Brian Wilson, and his second release of new original studio material. It was issued in 1998 on Giant Records and distributed by Warner Music Group. Its best-known track is "Your Imagination", a Top 20 hit on adult contemporary radio. The second single, "South American", was co-written by Jimmy Buffett.

Brian Wilson has postponed his upcoming tour dates to take care of his mental health. His plan is to rest, recover and work with doctors on his issues until he is ready to get onstage again. The Greatest Hits Live dates beginning in August have not been postponed. It is no secret that I have been living with mental illness for many decades, the former Beach Boys singer wrote. Eventually, he put out a self-titled solo album in 1988. The singer discussed his mental health with Rolling Stone in a 2016 interview, blaming his problems on taking bad drugs in his younger years.

When I saw Brian Wilson he was touring to support his album titled, Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin, which is an album covering the magnificent songs of Ira and George Gershwin. He played many classic tunes from this album such as Summertime and Rhapsody in Blue. The show’s setlist was massive containing over thirty of Brian Wilson’s hits. Although Brian Wilson performed the older surf rock classics such as Surfin’ . and Surfer Girl, I preferred the beautiful orchestrated songs from Pet Sounds such as Wouldn’t It Be Nice and Good Vibrations.

Brian Wilson will perform the landmark Pet Sounds album in its entirety on tour this year to mark the 50th anniversary of this hugely influential Beach Boys album, the latest - and busiest - run for an artist who has built an unexpected career as a touring artist outside his Beach Boys origins. Ironically, the Pet Sounds tour celebrates an album that, to a large degree, owes its success - if not very existence - to Wilson's disdain for touring at the time it was recording, which allowed him to devote all his creative energy to recording what is largely regarded as one of the greatest.

Brian Wilson is arguably the greatest American composer of popular music in the rock era. Born and raised in Hawthorne, California, he formed the Beach Boys in 1961 alongside his two younger brothers, cousin Mike Love, and school friend Alan Jardine. Serving as the group's primary songwriter, Wilso. .

The Asbury Park Music & Film Festival runs from April 20 through April 23rd. The iconic mastermind behind West Coast hit-makers extraordinaire the Beach Boys, Wilson is in the early stages of preparing for his latest solo album. Speaking recently, Wilson revealed that the album, the follow-up to 2015’s No Pier Pressure, will be a collection of old school-style rock ’n’ roll songs. I’m going to start writing in a couple of months, Wilson said, explaining that I’ve been working on ideas in my head for about six months. The move makes sense.
