Tangerine Dream - Ricochet album flac

Ricochet is the first live album and seventh album overall by German electronic music group Tangerine Dream, released in 1975. It consists of two side-long compositions mixed from recordings of the UK and France portions of their August–October 1975 European Tour.

Tangerine Dream's first official live album, Ricochet, is very much an album of two sides, each developing their recently pioneered Berlin-School sound into new directions. The first is heavy on electric guitar and percussion, for the first time since their albums on Ohr at the start of the decade, although the direction here is more focused and, combined with layers of synth and mellotron, is more in line with progressive rock than their earlier krautrock leanings.

In contrast with other live albums however, this sounds just like it was recorded in the studio - the sound quality is excellent and the audience can not be heard at all (apart from the beginning and end of the piece).

Tangerine Dream's second album of 1975, Ricochet, was mixed from tapes of their French and British tours. Like Rubycon before, it featured two long compositions, each of them filling one side of the vinyl album. According to Chris Franke, the concerts were much too long to use in one context. The photography on the front cover was taken by Monika Froese on the ocean shore near Bordeaux
