Alan Charles Jardine (born September 3, 1942) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter who co-founded The Beach Boys. He is best known as the band's rhythm guitarist and for occasionally singing lead vocals on songs such as "Help Me, Rhonda" (1965), "Then I Kissed Her" (1965), and "Come Go with Me" (1978). He has released one solo studio album, A Postcard from California (2010). In 1988, Jardine was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Beach Boys.

20/20 is the 15th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on February 10, 1969. The LP was named for being their 20th overall album release. Much of it consists of outtakes from earlier albums. It reached number 3 on UK record charts and number 68 in the US. Brian Wilson was absent during most of the album's recording after admitting himself into a psychiatric hospital, requiring brothers Carl and Dennis to retrieve several outtakes he had recorded years earlier.

Sunflower (The Beach Boys album). Sunflower is the 16th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released in August 1970, and their first on Reprise Records. record charts during a four-week stay, and becoming the lowest-charting Beach Boys album to that point. In the UK, the album performed better, peaking at number 29.

The song was attempted by the Beach Boys in 1976 during recording sessions for their album 15 Big Ones. In 2011, It was rewritten by Terry jacks and Al Jardine for his album A Postcard from California and with several of his Beach Boys bandmates making a guest appearance. 32. 5. The Beach Boys: Album Guide. America’s longest-running band - from surf rock to studio symphonies and beyond. The Beach Boys pose for a portrait in 1964. From left to right, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Brian Wilson. Gems/Redferns/Getty Images. The Beach Boys are America’s most legendary rock & roll saga-and one of its most turbulent, with a twisted family history at the heart of it. The Wilson brothers were suburban California boys: Brian, the haunted pop genius hearing the harmonies in his head. Carl, the shy kid with the heavenly voice. Dennis, the wild-ass drummer who lived the cars-and-surf lifestyle Brian just sang about. Plus high school pal Al Jardine and a cousin.

Wilson and the surviving members of The Beach Boys - Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks - guide us through the writing and recording of the landmark album that is consistently voted one of the top three most influential albums of all time. Featuring exclusive interviews, classic archive and rare studio outtakes from the recording sessions, the film tells the story of the creation of the record that cemented The Beach Boys' reputation as a leading force to rival The Beatles, and Brian Wilson as a songwriting genius.

While The Beach Boys’ early hits reflected the boisterous rough’n’tumble of a surfing lifestyle, it didn’t take long for Brian Wilson to find a melancholy angle to explore. Surfer Girl’ is a teenage daydream; it swoons over the object of his affections, imagining their future together seemingly before they’ve even said a word to one another. Wilson apparently wrote the melody from start to finish in his head back in 1961 as a kind of test to himself – a remarkable feat and the first flourishing of his songwriting intuition. The high point of Al Jardine and Mike Love’s writing partnership, ‘All This Is That’ is a spellbinding exploration of spirituality. Listening now, it’s not hard to see why. 18: ‘Friends’ (Friends, 1968).
