Coz I Luv You is a compilation album by the British rock band Slade. It was released in 1972 in certain European countries, Australia and Argentina. It was the band's first compilation album and reached No. 10 in the Netherlands.

With "Coz I Luv You" having topped charts acros. With "Coz I Luv You" having topped charts across much of Europe, this compilation was rushed out to bridge the gap between Slade's last album, Play It Loud, and the forthcoming Slade Alive in early 1972. In truth, there was little for the compilers to work with beyond adding the A- and B-sides of the band's last three singles ("Get Down and Get With It", "Coz I Luv You," and "Look Wot You Dun") to half-a-dozen tracks culled from Play It Loud itself
Coz I Luv You was the single that set Slade on their way to pop idol fame. It's a simple & basic song with a jaunty beat that builds slowly (I love the feel when the bass drops) to a violin crescendo with chanting & stomping. Personally, I think the B-side is a stronger song, full of social rebellion & political angst. It shows the blues/rock soul of Slade's musical heart. If Glam rock hadn't consumed the band then this is an indication of their natural style. Reply Notify me Helpful.

B6 has a writer credit of Holder/Lee/Hill/Powell/Pennisman but the original release is Bobby Marchan. Jim Lea's name is also misspelt as Lee.
