Rebekah - Cycles EP - CLR. 5 years ago 5 years ago. TECHNO. Cycles EP consists of four of her own productions entitled Suicide Mind, Self Destruct, Equilibrium and Asymmetric, which vividly express her personal trademark style of uncompromising Techno from the dark, driving and hypnotic side of the genre. CYCLES EP. 12" Vinyl D. CLR, CLR067. From the first time he heard one of her tracks, Chris Liebing was impressed by Rebekah´s characteristically thrifty and highly effective production style. Then her remixes and original productions kept showing up in his playlists more and more often, until he finally asked her to record a set for the CLR Podcast. By Rebekah. Techno doesn t really get much more functional, mechanical and club friendly than this, showcased by the marching down beats of Self Destruct, fuelled further by double claps, and the throbbing science fiction pulsations of Suicide Mind that warp in overdrive. Equilibrium adds welcome wetness to the EP, but is used sparingly, just on the synths, while the arrangement of Asymmetric is a dark warehouse dream for any big room DJ. Cycles EP.

That is the position Rebekah find’s her self in during the early stages of 2016. Kicking off 2013 by mixing Reconnected 03 for the imprint, her summer 2013 Cycles EP opened her tough, dark, driving productions up to an even wider audience, and was one of the highlights of what would be the break-through year for Rebekah. 2014 saw a series of remixes for solid underground labels such as EarToGround, Sleaze, and Gynoid Audio before a follow up EP for Cult Figures reaffirmed her production nous when it came to originals. And with Rebekah putting the finishing touches to her debut album, it appears as the demunitive artist with the ferocious sound is set to go from strength to strength in 2016.

In 2005, as Rebekah Jordan, Rebecca produced and released an EP through her own Tea Party Records. The 6 song EP, titled The Trouble With Fiction included 5 original songs and a signature interpretation of the Stevie Nicks classic, "Dreams". The featured musicians were: Butch Norton Lucinda Williams The Eels, Rufus Wainwright, Tracy Chapman) on drums and percussion, John Ballinger on guitar and clarinet, and Jessica Catron on cello. In 2006, Butch, John Ballinger, Jessica Catron, and Rebecca formed a new band, "Dreaming Ferns". Retrieved March 30, 2014. "Daily Discovery: Rebecca Jordan, "Anchor"".
