Leonard Bernstein conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Verdi's Requiem that marks Placido Domingo's first appreance with the Maestro. In an introductory note, Mr. Berstein dedicates this performance to victims of war and oppression. Great production of the Verdi Requiem. I'm a total fan of Arroyo and Domingo and am never disapointed. They do well in whatever production they are associated with. Now I'm a fan of Veasey of whom I had no knowledge. The bass Ruggero Raimondi was a little inexperienced for the part but showed potential. He was sharp in several instances; forcing his tones. Sadly, in my opinion, he hasn't improved after all these years.
