Fans of Nightnoise will enjoy this album since the band and its various members are responsible for half the album including the charming Whiter than Snow. Much of this music is ponderous, even melancholy, the perfect soundtrack for a reflective winter night. That makes Christmas Time's A Comin' by Ricky Skaggs stick out like a sore thumb. It’s simply jarring and really doesn’t jell with the other pieces included here. Despite that, this is a good album though listeners wanting more traditional holiday can and should look elsewhere.
