I was unaware of the band Bright Eyes until I happened to walk by a TV showing an episode of The Walking Dead, where a song from I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning was playing in the sound track. I stopped in my tracks, instantly recognizing the unique sound. I bought that CD and fell in love with it.
Fevers and Mirrors is a landmark album, and I really think that it is his best. It has wonderful arrangements, and is a great place to start if you're into rockier music. But if you're more into Adult Contemporary, than you should start with Lifted. Morrissey, I totally agree. F&M is my favourite Bright Eyes album, and is a wonderful work. But, you can't say that Lifted isn't the most popular. woofwoofwoof September 10th 2005. I'm Wide Awake It's Morning lifted & digital ash in a digital urn fevers&mirrors the rest . Bright Eyes is a band, but Conor does most of the writing, and the lineup tends to change with every album. This is Bright Eyes' best album, besides maybe I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning. I like his acoustic-driven stuff a lot more these days. But isn't Conor the only permanent member?
Fevers & Mirrors Album. Fevers & Mirrors.
With Fevers and Mirrors being their third full-length release, a strong adaptation of Radiohead, Blur, and Suede is conveniently wrapped up in a neat lo-fi package. But without completely ripping anyone off, Bright Eyes feature their own cadence of loose indie and shaky, emotional vocals. The results amount to a catchy collection of elaborate pop that's been perfectly captured on a nickel budget.
Bright Eyes is an American indie rock band founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst. It consists of Oberst, t and producer Mike Mogis, trumpet and piano player Nate Walcott, and a rotating lineup of collaborators drawn primarily from Omaha's indie music scene.
